About me
Marisele Esperance is a dedicated and passionate leader with over 26 years of experience in the Massachusetts public child welfare system. In her previous role, she provided clinical, technical, and administrative guidance to area offices, supporting staff in delivering placement and permanency services. She also led a regional recruitment team, developing strategic plans that integrated data and customer service to engage diverse communities and meet the needs of children in foster care. In 2019, Marisele completed the AdoptUSKids Professional Development Program, which deepened her understanding of permanency and the vital role of belonging—especially for children from historically marginalized communities. This experience, enriched by mentorship and peer collaboration, strengthened her commitment to kinship care, elevating family voice, and advancing inclusive practices across child welfare systems.Marisele currently serves as a Diligent Recruitment Advisor with the National Center for Diligent Recruitment (NCDR), a service of the U.S. Children’s Bureau. In this role, she provides technical assistance to states, tribes, and territories to help improve outcomes for children and youth in foster care through strategic, data-driven recruitment planning.
