About me
Jacqueline Ford, MSW, has dedicated more than thirty-three years to serving children and families through her work with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF). Since 2019, she has served as Community Outreach Coordinator in the Bureau of External Affairs, where her work centers on strengthening community partnerships, increasing access to services, and promoting dignity, safety, and healing for children, youth, and families across Connecticut.
Jacqueline’s career is guided by a belief that systems are strongest when they meet families where they are—with compassion, creativity, and respect. She has contributed to statewide efforts to strengthen the cross-reporting of child abuse and animal cruelty under Connecticut law and regularly provides community education on the well-established connection between these forms of harm.
She holds a master’s degree in social work and serves as an adjunct professor, mentoring the next generation of human service professionals. Jacqueline also serves as a preceptor for undergraduate and graduate students from accredited universities, helping bridge academic learning with real-world child welfare practice.
