About me
Maria has spent more than 30 years in leadership roles across the nonprofit and public sectors, advancing systems that support children, youth, and families. She currently serves as Executive Director of the New England Association of Child Welfare Commissioners and Directors (NEACWCD), where she convenes state leaders and partners to support collaborative learning, shared problem-solving, and child welfare system transformation across the region.
Throughout her career, Maria has led organizational and system change efforts focused on child abuse prevention and intervention, adolescent behavioral health, and addiction treatment. She brings a values-driven, collaborative leadership style to her work, balancing evidence-based practice with curiosity, humility, and a belief in the power of authentic partnership to drive meaningful and lasting change.[
