About me
Colleen Ellingson was one of our founders. She served on the standards committee and was known as the “standards queen.” She was dedicated to the mission of our organization and to the idea of bringing leaders together to transform systems. During NAA’s formative years, Colleen served in several key roles, including leading out communications efforts to help others become educated on best practices. She believed in the power of knowledge-sharing and set the tone for how we communicate, collaborate, and grow as a field.
You could always find Colleen at our conferences surrounded by colleagues and new friends, sharing strategies to strengthen children, youth, and families. Her wisdom, generosity, and determination helped build the foundation we stand on today. Colleen’s legacy will carry on as we continue our mission to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families. We stand on her shoulders. She will always be in our heart.
